Trefoil
Trefoil Guilds are for women aged 30+. These members can be unit guiders, hold other Guiding positions, or join a Trefoil Guild to keep in touch. New members are welcome.
Trefoil activities range from coffee meetings or theatre trips to hikes and snowshoeing, following the interests of the group. Many Trefoil Guilds also help with local unit activities like camps and community events.

Bridging Members
You can enjoy more Guiding fun after you complete the Ranger program. Register as a Bridging Member to continue your Guiding adventures in a whole new way. Here is a list of frequently asked questions. If you have any additional questions about Guiding opportunities in BC, please contact [email protected].
What is a Bridging Member?
A Bridging Member has completed the Ranger program but not yet reached the age of majority, which is 19 in British Columbia. Depending on your birthday, Bridging Members may be 17 or 18.
How do I register to become a Bridging Member?
If you finished Rangers but are not yet 19, send an A5.P registration form to [email protected] to become a Bridging Member for the upcoming Guiding year. You can also phone 1-877-564-6188 for information.
Do I have to pay a registration fee to become a Bridging Member?
The Bridging Member registration fee is covered by West Coast Area, so you do not have to pay anything. Please contact the Area Treasurer for more details: [email protected]
When do I register to become a Bridging Member?
You can register in June, once registration opens for the next Guiding year. You can join a specific unit, a District, and/or a Link unit
When can I become an adult member?
In the month following your 19th birthday, you will be contacted to complete screening to become an adult member. Check the email associated with your iMIS profile!
Do I need a police record check to be a bridging member?
No. A Bridging Member is still considered a youth member and is therefore not required to have a police record check.
Can I be a Guider or Junior Leader while I am a Bridging Member?
Absolutely! While you cannot be a Guider until you are 19, you are encouraged to register with a unit as part of the leader team.
Can I register as a Link Member and a Bridging Member?
Yes, Link Members are 18–30 years old, so you are welcome to join and meet other young adults. For more information on joining a Link unit contact [email protected].

Consider becoming an Adult Member to mentor youth. There are many different routes you can take as a volunteer with Girl Guides of Canada. Whether you choose to be a Guider with a unit, a Link Member, or a camp volunteer, there is something for everyone. You can also join a Council in your district, area, provincially, or nationally. Not only do these experiences enhance your resume, they connect you with inspiring women from across the country and beyond.
