The 2nd Richmond Pathfinders, from River's Edge District, had such a fun meeting. Four teams raced on foot, solving challenges and figuring out clues around Steveston. Once they reached the finish line, everyone celebrated with ice-cream cones at the Wharf.
A special thank you to the unit parents and Trefoil members who helped at the different stations. If any unit is interested in using the kit, they are welcome to borrow it. The whole challenge lasted approximately 2 hours.

River's Edge District did apple tree grafting at Woodward's Landing in April. All the branches participated, with older Guides and Pathfinders helping the Sparks and Embers.
Each person had a planted root stock and spliced it with an apple tree. Apple varieties included Spartan, Gala, Ambrosia, Jona, and more. Tree grafting was followed by lunch and a campfire sing song. All the participants had a great time and took their own apple tree home. A great big thank you to Kathryn Garforth for organizing and teaching everyone how to graft an apple tree. And to the Trefoil members who came out to help serve lunch. |
